In the song it says "And my spirit is crying for leaving." this represents death and the spirit leaving the body to the afterlife. Also it says "If theres a bustle in your hedgerow Dont be alarmed now, Its just a spring clean for the may queen." Spring represents life and rebirth and when it says "clean" it could mean that life is being renewed and moving to something new. It also says in the song "The pipers calling you to join him" the piper could represent Hermese, who in greek mythology is the one who leads the souls to the gates of the Underworld.
